Apps: Improving Citizen Engagement

Indroducing GIS-based civic engagement apps that are "improving the performance and image of government by helping citizens actively participate in government on their terms". The apps are described to fall into seven categories, also mirroring the scope of the project: Public information, Unsolicited comments, Public reporting, Citizen as sensor, Solicited comments, Volunteerism, and Citizen as scientist.
