The event brought together representatives of different public authorities responsible for the environment, statistics and e-government and open data from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to discuss and identify feasible and practical means for integrating environmental information in national E-Governance/Open Data frameworks and platforms.
This activity is part of the project on further implementation of the Shared Environment Information System (SEIS) principles in the six ENI East countries by improving the sharing and dissemination of environment information between various institutions at national level and beyond in the spirit of the Aarhus Convention on access to environment information. This will contribute to raising the profile of environmental information through its accessibility, sharing and harvesting additional environmental, social and economic benefits.
