The Regional Office for Europe (ROE) promotes inter-governmental policy dialogue and regional cooperation, increases national capacity for environmental management and response emergencies, raises awareness and enhances information exchange, and translates global policies into regional action. ROE is based in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in Brussels, Moscow and Vienna. UNEP National Committees: UNEP raises public awareness on global environmental issues at country level through the establishment of UNEP National Committees. These committees help carry out awareness-raising or educational projects by disseminating environmental information to large audiences in many languages, and promote opportunities for networking and partnerships.
