This presentation summarizes the results of an informal survey of industry in North America. It addresses key components of effective public outreach or community relations on PRTRs and was undertaken in anticipation of the first pollutant release and transfers register in Mexico - Registro de Emisiones y Transferencia de Contaminantes - due for publication in 2006.
