The web site of the first national Sunshine Week, 13-19 March 2005. Daily and weekly newspapers, broadcasters, bloggers and other media, as well as federal and state legislators, librarians, civic groups and others across the country joined in the effort to defend the right to know. The site includes the transcript of "The Seduction of Secrecy," a panel discussion hosted by the University of Missouri School of Journalism at the National Press Club in conjunction with Sunshine Week, links to open government web sites, graphics and FOIA news.
