Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP) describe a country's macroeconomic, structural and social policies and programs to promote growth and reduce poverty. A fundamental principle of the PRSP process is that it is ‘country-driven’, encouragesbroad public participation and debate and seeks to create a high degree of ownershipamong various stakeholders. This paper provides a method to ensure genuine participation, drawing on experience from Africa states and Vietnam.
