Standardized hydrology-based assessment tool for chemical exposure load

This article reports that the Japanese AIST Research Center for Chemical Risk Management has developed a solution for water risk assessment using data on chemical emissions provided by the pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR) system. AIST-SHANEL (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology - Standardized Hydrology-based AssessmeNt tool for chemical Exposure Load) Ver. 0.8 can calculate the density of toxic chemicals in a river basin.
