Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI)

RSEI is a screening tool that compares toxic chemicals released to the environment from industrial sources. It provides a hazards based perspective on chemical releases, combining (for air releases) chemical toxicity, volume by weight, demographic and meterological data. The application, which is built using Toxic Release Inventory (ie PRTR) data, allows users to examine rankings and trends and set priorities for further action. Information can be sorted in numerous ways such as by chemical, media, geographic areas, etc. RSEI results can also be viewed using tables, graphs or maps.
