Report on International Obligations (RIO)

Sierra Club of Canada grades governments in Canada on commitments first made at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. To broaden the scope of measurable government promises, the RIO report card currently measures progress on environment and development commitments reached at the Rio, Kyoto, Johannesburg and Stockholm summits. The report serves as an example of NGO monitoring of national and regional environmental performance. In English and French.
