Promotion of Sustainable Forest Management in Georgia

On 13 March 2008, WWF Caucasus together with other stakeholders signed Memorandum on Cooperation for the Promotion of Sustainable Forest Management in Georgia through the Elaboration of National FSC Standards. This memorandum follows the Partnership Agreement signed between the Forest Standards Council and the Georgian Department of Forestry of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources “On Forest Certification Development in Georgia” on 29 May 2007.
