IPCS Project on the Harmonization of Approaches to the Assessment of Risk from Exposure to Chemicals

The International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS) has conducted a Stocktake of the "Harmonization Project" to evaluate the outcomes of the Project since its inception, identify any gaps or issues to be addressed and gather proposals for its future work. The results helped prepare a new Project Strategic Plan for 2005-2008. The range of proposed new activities include aggregate/cumulative risk assessment, data quality in exposure assessment, immunotoxicity (skin sensitization), and problem formulation in the risk assessment process. The site include the Record of the Stocktake review meeting, the new Strategic Plan and the Stocktake Analysis Summary.
