Human rights and the environment

This book brings together international texts all of which stress the importance of the "human right to environment". These instruments have established the existence of procedural rights such as access to information, public participation in decision-making, and access to justice in environmental matters. They also show the emergence of a substantive human right to a quality environment. The book demonstrates how important it is to have a high standard of environmental protection as a fundamental human right. It serves as a reference for Human rights specialists, environmentalists and all those wishing to exercise individual or collective environmental rights. In English and French. An Italian translation of the work is also avaiable.
