General comment NO. 26 (2023) on Children's Rights and the Environment with a special focus on climate change

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is an important agreement by countries to promise to protect children's rights. The Committee on the Rights of the Child under this Convention has written a document called General Comment no. 26,  which explains to governments how children's rights are related to the environment and climate change, and what governments must do to protect them.
