Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 all UK public authorities, including NERC, must adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme stating: the types (classes) of information it publishes, or intends to publish; how its information is, or will be, published; and whether the information is, or will be, made available free of charge or on payment. The NERC Publication Scheme aims to make a significant amount of our information readily available without members of the public needing to request it specifically under the Freedom of Information Act. NERCsupplies material promptly when it receives a request via phone, letter, fax or email. Some information subject to 'statutory exemptions' is excluded from publication by law.
