Freedom of Information in Asia

Information Clearinghouse Japan (ICJ) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization devoted to improving public access to government-held information. By providing information collected through surveys and research on best practices in information disclosure to a broad spectrum of recipients, including citizens, elected officials, and civil servants, ICJ aims to to broaden and improve access to information in Asia. The site contains reports from the Conference on Freedom of Information and Civil Society in Asia, held in Tokyo on 13-14 April 2001.
