EU moves towards pollutant register

This article reports on the publication by the European Commission of an online EU-wide inventory to pool information on pollution caused by cars, airplanes, ships, household boilers and small farms. The new inventory is seen as an important step towards a European pollutant release and transfer register, combining data from industrial, "diffuse" and other pollution sources.
