Emirates Environmental Group (EEG)

The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is a voluntary, non-government organization devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programs and community involvement. The EEG-launched Conservation Hamloul Environment Project has adopted as its symbol "Hamloul" - the camel with a caring character. Chosen because it is the most identifiable animal of the Middle East and a legendary symbol of Arabian uniqueness, Hamoul may be used in education for sustainable development campaigns to teach respect for the local environment. With publications in Arabic and English, media art, links to local and international conferences and other useful information.
