e-Government Grants

The e-Government Grants Program, a partnership of the Development GatewayFoundation and the Government of Italy, supports e-government initiatives indeveloping and emerging countries. Among the first projects to receive funding are the Government Electronic Network (GovNet), in Mozambique, as the first stage of a nationwide government intranet that improves the internal operations and provides better services to citizens; the Land Information Management System, in Mozambique, to digitizeland records; and e-accounting and e-statistics projects in Nigeria.
