Dissemination of Information under the Aarhus Convention will be via the Internet

This article describes the establishment of the first Task Force on Electronic Information Tools to the Aarhus Convention. The UNECE expert body was charged with addressing the delivery of timely, relevant and reliable environmental information called for by the Aarhus Convention, and aimed to draw up plans to use the latest information technology for this purpose. The mandate of the Task Force was subsequently renewed at the 2nd Meeting of the Parties, in May 2005.
