DENSO Announces New Green Procurement Guidelines for Suppliers

As a contribution to sustainable development, the Japanese manufactuer DENSO will promote efforts to reduce adverse environmental effects of business activities at DENSO group companies and their suppliers worldwide through adoption of guidelines aimed at improving their environmental performance. The guidelines aim to reduce CO2 emissions, emissions of substances subject to Japan's Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR), emissions of volatile organic compounds, and waste. Suppliers in Japan report under the country's PRTR. DENSO will require suppliers outside Japan to reduce emissions in accordance with similar systems in each country. DENSO operates in 32 countries and regions of the world.
