Croatia: Seminar on how to use the Aarhus Convention for the protection of space and nature

A seminar on how to use the Aarhus Convention for the protection of space and nature was held in Pula, Croatia on 2nd and 3rd June 2016. Major European and Croatian experts on the Aarhus Convention were among the speakers, such as Jerzy Jendroska, member of the Convention's Compliance Committee, Lana Ofak from the Zagreb Faculty of Law, environmental lawyer Csaba Kiss and the lawyers Ivana Grubisci and Zeljko Gracin Leljak. The seminar was very useful for both civil society organisations, representatives of government bodies, and other institutions to understand the rights stipulated in the Convention and how to guarantee them.
