This Global Agriculture Information Network report outlines the main features of the Law on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) adopted by the Croatian government in May 2005. The new law makes the Ministry of Health the lead ministry for overseeing biotech issues and defines European Union involvement in the process of GMO approvals. It disallows administrative complaints against acts taken by central government bodies. However, administrative disputes (that is, litigation) is permitted.
