Communications from Members of the Public

This information sheet has been drawn up by the Compliance Committee of the Aarhus Convention to provide practical information to members of the public wishing to contact it regarding a problem of compliance in a State Party to the Convention. Decision I/7 of the Meeting of the Parties is the authoritative legal basis for the compliance mechanism. Any additional procedures set out in this document have been introduced for practical purposes and are provisional.
