The OSCE Office of the Representative on Freedom of the Media (OSCE RFOM) provided comments based on the Draft European Convention on Access to Official Documents which reflects the state of discussions at the end of the 15th meeting of the DH-S-AC (3-6 July 2007). OSCE RFOM believes there are some substantial deficiencies in the draft Convention and makes seven recommendations for strengthening the treaty. Among these are calls for enlarging the scope of information made available, setting a maximum time period within which requests for information must be processed and guaranteeing the right of appeal.(Origianl source: http://www.access-info.org/data/File/OSCE%20Comments%20to%20CoE%20acces…)
