Citizens' environmental rights up for debate

On 8 September 1999, the Danish EPA held a conference concerning the Aarhus Convention about citizens' environmental rights. Danish legislation in this field is good but there is room for improvement, said NGOs, public authorities, business organisations and the press at the conference. Improved rights of complaint for NGOs represent one of the aspects to be incorporated in Denmark's implementation of the Convention.
