75 Environment and Civil Society Organisations of the UNECE region present their views to Ministers at the Second Meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention. The Statement urges the governments to renew their commitment to safeguard the Convention’s leadership role in creating environmental democracy. It invites them to enhance the process and provides with recommendations in the areas of national reporting, access to justice, GMO-related issues, compliance procedures, capacity building and the Protocol on PRTRs.
