Active Citizenship Network (ACN)

Active Citizenship Network (ACN) began in 2001 as the European and international branch of the Italian citizen movement, Cittadinanzattiva (Active Citizenship). Its mission is to promote and support the construction of a European citizenship as an “active citizenship” meaning the exercise of powers and responsibilities of citizens in policy making. The website features information on particpation in ACN partnerships, events, a toolbox (including web-based and NGO-management tools), public policies and a monthly newsletter. It also features an introduction and links to the Aarhus Convention.
