The EU provides a wealth of funding opportunities—a budget of some 126.5 billion making it the world’s largest institutional donor. To enable nongovernmental organizations to take full advantage of this, ECAS has published the 13th edition of its funding guides. Volume 1 convers EU priorities and spending for 2007-13, advice on how to apply, information on more than 80 available European Commission funds, and programme contacts. Volume 2 covers external programmes for aid in specific interest areas, e.g. human rights, support to civil society, humanitarian aid, and also includes the European Neighbourhood Policy for neighbouring countries of the EU; pre-accession aid, for candidate countries and potential candidate countries in the Western Balkans.
