The report is a summary of the European Forum on Access to Justice held in Budapest, Hungary, on December 5-7, 2002, undertaking as part of the Project on Promoting Access to Justice in Central and Eastern Europe, funded by the European Commission and the Open Society Justice Initiative. The Project has been a collaborative effort by four organizations: INTERIGHTS, the Public Interest Law Initiative/Columbia University Budapest Law Center (PILI), the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, and the Polish Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, in partnership with the Open Society Justice Initiative. The Forum Report is the result of contributions from many of the participants in the European Forum on Access to Justice.
