Since 1990, the Swiss National Science Foundation, together with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, has conducted a programme of scientific co-operation with Eastern Europe. The CHF 33 million invested so far are an important element of the technical co-operation for science and research. In 2005 a new call was issued and 150 new projects and partnerships were accepted, which will run until the end of 2008. Funded projects include capacity building in environmental impact assessment, legal education and democratic society.(Original source: http://www.snf.ch/en/rep/int/int_sco.asp)
