The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is a voluntary, non-government organization devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programs and community involvement. The EEG-launched Conservation Hamloul Environment Project has adopted as its symbol "Hamloul" - the camel with a caring character. Chosen because it is the most identifiable animal of the Middle East and a legendary symbol of Arabian uniqueness, Hamoul may be used in education for sustainable development campaigns to teach respect for the local environment.
