Component MONECA carried CAREC together with the Austrian Environment Agency (UBA) and aims to develop the Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS), the promotion of which is enshrined in the Ministerial Declaration of the 7th Pan-European Conference on the Environment in September 2011 in Astana.
"We should establish a systematic collection and management of information concerning the environment for decision-making at the national level and effective implementation of the commitments in the framework of multilateral international agreements (environmental conventions) in the field of environment and natural resources", - said A.Kayumov.
In this aspect, the priority is to establish the legal framework of the national report on the state of the environment (NDSOS) based on the guidelines of the Aarhus Convention.
Recall, Tajikistan is a party 9 international environmental agreements, project activities MONECA can contribute to improving accountability and fulfillment of the terms of these agreements. In the field of environmental information, occupies a special place Aarhus UN Economic Commission for Europe "On Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters", to which Tajikistan joined in 2001.
