Bishkek (AKI) - In Bishkek, December 11 will be a roundtable discussion on the draft Fourth National Report on the Implementation ofthe Aarhus Convention in Kyrgyzstan.
As the press service of the State Agency for EnvironmentalProtection and Forestry, KR acceded to the Aarhus Convention in 2001 (Law ofthe KR dated 12.01.2001g. № 5), and thus has an obligation to the internationalcommunity to guarantee the rights of access to information, PublicParticipation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in EnvironmentalMatters.
At meetings of the signatories of the convention, constantlymonitor the progress of its implementation on the basis of regular reportingprovided.
According to the format of report submission, the partiesshould reconsider its previous report and submit an updated version (withchanges and clean versions) to the Secretariat.
