Panellists suggested to translate the national implementation report on the Aarhus Convention in the Kyrgyz language

Bishkek (AKI) - Director of Information Aarhus Centre in Osh Kanibek Isabaev December 11 briefed the participants of the round table in Bishkek to discuss the draft of the National Report on the Implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the Kyrgyz Republic with the proposals of non-governmental organizations and the public on the document Osh.

 

So, according to him, the meeting in Osh to discuss implementation of the Aarhus Convention in Kyrgyzstan put forward a proposal to translate the report into Kyrgyz.

 

"Now the report of Kyrgyzstan produced only in Russian and had offers to translate it into the Kyrgyz language," - he said.

 

"Yes, the report is in Russian, because it is one of the working languages ​​of the report.  Translation into Kyrgyz require additional cost, but we think over the proposal.  To be honest, I'm glad that we are not asked to translate the report into English, "- said the head of department of environmental strategy and policy of the State Agency of Environment and Forestry Dzhyparkul Bekkulova.

 

The representative of the Ministry of Education T.Urkunchiev supported the translation of the report on implementation of the KR Convention on the Kyrgyz language.  "You know, in the regions of many of our citizens do not know the Russian language and the discussion of the report in the regions there are difficulties," - he said.
