Partners stage side events on Aarhus Information Centres, chemicals management, compliance and funding at opening of third Meeting of the Parties

The third Meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention, which opens on 11 June 2008 in Riga, Latvia, provides the venue for partner and nongovernmental organizations to present side events on topics relevant to the Meeting's agenda.

Seven side events will be held on the eve or opening day of the Meeting:

Introducing the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) and is relevance to the Aarhus Convention and PRTR Protocol - United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) / SAICM Secretariat and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)
