In an "Introduction to the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM)", experts from international organizations and national governments will explore how public participation practices within chemicals policy have been inspired by the Aarhus Convention.
The Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) is a global policy framework to support the achievement of the goal of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) that by 2020 chemicals are produced and used in ways that minimize significant adverse impacts on the environment and human health.
