Those countries that ratified the Aarhus Convention, and the European Union, committed themselves to promote the application of the principles of the Convention in international environmental decision-making processes and within the framework of international forums and organizations in matters relating to the environment. To foster the implementation of this commitment a compendium of case studies of good practice on promoting public participation in international forums has been initiated. The compendium provides a “living resource”, which will be periodically updated to incorporate new case studies of good practice. If you have a case study that you would like to include in the compendium, please send a short summary (under 800 words) to <[email protected]>, indicating in the subject line that it is intended as a contribution to the compendium.
