The UDCB, a Portuguese association dedicated to opposing lithium mining, is requesting that the public prosecutor suspend Savannah's lithium exploration and prospecting licence in Boticas. The UDCB also points out that three legal proceedings are already underway related to the Barroso mine, and that the environmental assessment process for the mine was not transparent, which is a violation of the Aarhus Convention.
