Albania’s School of Magistrate kicks off new course on environmental legislation developed with OSCE Presence support

On September 25, 2023, OSCE Presence in Albania and the School of Magistrate jointly launched a new one-semester course on environmental legislation and judicial enforcement mechanisms. This course, as part of the initial education program for magistrate students, focuses on administrative, civil and criminal aspects of international and domestic environmental legislation and aims to empower future prosecutors and judges with the knowledge and tools to tackle environmental cases effectively, safeguard the rights of citizens who seek justice in environmental matters, and enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies' response againtst environmental contraventions and crimes.
