Armenia: Parliament committee to set up environmental protection task forces

Information about the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Governance, Agriculture and Environment's consent to the bill on structuring a number of task forces and duties, which will encompass effective management of water resources, analysis of the laws on the mining industry and Lake Sevan, animal protection, effective implementation of and oversight over the Aarhus Convention, analysis of the basis for the law on environmental impact assessment and effective management of forests.
