Germany: Citizen's Guide to the Aarhus Convention

In 2018, the second edition of the Citizen's Guide to the Aarhus Convention “Beteiligungsrechte im Umweltschutz – Was bringt Ihnen die Aarhus-Konvention?” (in German) was published by the Federal Ministry of the Environment and German Environment Agency marking 20th Anniversary since the adoption of the Aarhus Convention. Following the structure of three pillars of the Aarhus Convention, the publication describes the content of the Convention’s guarantees and illustrates how citizens and environmental associations can effectively exercise and enforce these rights.
