Planetary Boundaries—Governing Emerging Risks and Opportunities in a changing climate

This article proposes some key elements of governance in a world with boundaries to its natural resources and to the functioning of its ecosystems. The authors present emerging ecological concepts and principles in international law and suggest i.e. a deep reform of the United Nations system and trade treaties; along with the inclusion and exchange of knowledge form different fields and special scales to resolve the complex problems ensuing from the named planetary boundaries.
