Working Group of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention to convene sixth session on 5 April

The Working Group, established by the Meeting of the Parties to the Convention to oversee the implementation of the work programme in the intersessional period, will meet 5-7 April 2006, in Geneva.  The meeting is expected to provide direction to the preparation of the long-term strategic plan for the Convention and possible actions in the field of public participation in strategic decision-making. It will also discuss the financial report for 2005 and the implications of expenditures and income for the implementation of the work programme for 2006-2008.
