Spain: The Supreme Court determines that environmental organizations are exempt from paying costs

The article covers the Spanish Supreme Court's decision that defined that environmental organizations are exempt from paying legal costs. The High Court held that the Aarhus Law, which incorporates into Spanish law the obligations of the Aarhus Convention on access to information, public participation in decision-making and access to justice in environmental matters, determines that non-profit environmental organization are not obliged to pay the legal costs, as it is contrary to the Spanish legal system.
