Thirteen representatives of different Belarusian central and local public authorities and Aarhus Centres completed a three-day study tour to Rome on 19-21 December 2016 on implementing the UNECE Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (Aarhus Convention). The visit was organized by the OSCE in co-operation with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and hosted by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.The study tour included presentation and discussion sessions on access to environmental information and public participation in environmental decision-making followed by a visit to the Appia Antica Regional Park to learn about participatory management practices.
