Exercising the right to access to justice granted by the Aarhus Convention and enshrined in EU law, the Aurelia Foundation has filed a lawsuit with the EU Court in Luxembourg against the EU Commission's planned extension of the approval of glyphosate, arguing that the extension fails to take into account the health and environmental protection concerns. The Commission's decision could face annulment if the court determines that the extension violates EU law.
