Kazakhstan: An improvement of legislation in the field of the transition to "green" economy: waste management and emission control

Today in the Majilis of the Committee on Ecology and Environment was adopted a bill "on amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on environmental issues," which includes amendments on the Aarhus Convention and on the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. It is also a bill amending the "green economy". "The adoption of these laws will undoubtedly be another stage of Kazakhstan's transition to a "green" economy", said A.Milyutin, the chairman of the Majilis Committee on Ecology and Environment.
