CORREGGIO. They were delivered to the City of Correggio's top 50 warnings against the uncontrolled proliferation of biogas plants and biomass in the territory of Correggio and the surrounding areas. Collected by the city committee "Ronchi for the Environment", in these fifty will follow soon another 100 that will be delivered to the City of Correggio early next week.
The requests contained in the texts (each warning is composed of five individual warnings) recall the responsibility of the authorities and technicians who will authorize the plants without regard to the European legislature and the judgment of the Constitutional Court regarding the regional law of the Marche Region, declared unconstitutional by the court itself. "Verified that the law of the Emilia Romagna region is practically mirrors that of the Marches, calling on the relevant authorities to act in self-defense to suspend the permissions to all these plants (biomass and biogas) in the absence of environmental screening and therefore without the Way (Environmental Impact Assessment).
"Among the requests contained in the documents - said the committee - including the application of the standard regional emissions to zero balance, as Correggio and neighboring municipalities in the area of PM10 exceedances. We also call for the implementation of the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters, known as the Aarhus Convention, an international instrument to ensure the public and the citizens the right to transparency and participation in decision-making in matters of local government, national and cross-border relating to the environment. "
In the five warnings, the Ronchi Committee for the Environment does not exclude any type of plant biomass fueled power plants planned or active in Correggio and property En.Cor-Amtrade to plants via Gandhi, the Committee calls for strict controls interests of citizens. The documents also include the facilities to be built in via Mandrio, in Fossa Faiella and San Prospero.
And the battle of the committee of citizens and Ronchi is by no means complete. The warnings delivered to the City, the same text will be delivered soon and seven other institutions: the Emilia Romagna Region, the Province of Reggio, the Director of Planning and the environment and cultural policies Campeol Anna, the manager in charge of the service environment and energy at the Province of Reggio, John Ferrari, the president and CEO of the GSE (Rome), Nando Pasquali, the magistrate appointed by the Court of Auditors at the GSE (Rome), Alberto Avoli, the Court of Auditors of the Emilia Romagna Region and the Public Prosecutor's Office of Bologna.
