Italy: Cut trees: Legambiente, citizens have not been listened

The question emerged from the cutting of trees in Piazza Castelnuovo in Palermo is yet another demonstration of the material breach of the Aarhus Convention on effective public participation in the formation of the decision. It is blatantly infringed ' obligation to provide an early and effective opportunities to participate in environmental decision ". Says Gianfranco Tusk, regional director of Legambiente Sicily.
