The Country Counsellor from Vorarlberg, Johannes Rauch, presented the annual program of its department for the year 2017: A professional area support service is organised for the European nature reserves, public transport passengers can expect more connections and comfort, cycling opportunities will be improved. Furthermore, already at the end of January, Rauch wants to present the strategy for the reorientation of the region’s development cooperation. Two legal changes have been made by Rauch on the current agenda: On the one hand, the law on nature conservation and landscape development is to be amended. Among other things, the implementation of the Aarhus Convention is to be set down in this law. On the other hand, soil protection in the region is to be further expanded.
